Data governance foundation to enable proper data use: Interview with Ole Busk Poulsen
What I’ve learnt from cloudifying Electrolux: Interview with Kaveh Djavaherian

The first tenet for successful cloud implementation is respecting the organization’s history, culture, way of working and people. Of course, robust cloud architecture that offers uninterrupted access to data and applications is a must, but your efforts will be in vain if you don’t have the support of the right people and network of allies. These are some of the crucial learnings Kaveh Djavaherian, Head of Global Cloud & Hosting at Electrolux, underlined from his ample experience with executing cloud strategies and infrastructure management. Kaveh Djavaherian revealed his valuable insights gained through leading cloud implementation in Electrolux and other organizations. More to come during his Data 2030 Summit presentation in February.

What is Data Mesh? And should you mesh it up too?

Data Mesh is one of the hottest topics in data analytics at the moment. It has found its way into the trends that are predicted to disrupt and dominate the data market in 2021.

But what exactly is Data Mesh and why more and more companies are looking to implement the latest trend in the data industry?

In the age of data as a first-class citizen, every enterprise strives to be data-driven, pouring hefty investments into data platforms and enablers. However, the ever-growing data demands are no match for the traditional data warehouse or data lake with limited real-time streaming capabilities.

Data and analytics maturity in the energy industry: Interview with Mikko Muurinen
Data management trends that experts forecast for 2021 and beyond

The past tumultuous year saw many organisations caught up in a cloud frenzy, heavily investing in data lakes and data warehouses to get the most out of their precious data in a more flexible, scalable and efficient way. But despite the investments, we saw the data management was still a big challenge for companies in 2020. The majority of them still struggled with legacy systems, lack of domain-specific skills, lack of clearly defined data governance policies and poor data quality, preventing them from thriving in their data and AI innovations. It was clear that the new circumstances required enterprises to review their data management strategies and design platforms to support their AI-driven ambitions.

Why roundtable events give you more bang for your buck
Ingrain fact-based decision making into your company DNA: Interview with Laila Kakar

Data-driven or fact-based decisions have a great many possibilities and benefits to transform the business. But the most important step is to turn the insights into actions, because facts without action demonstrate the mechanism of memory, but not that of understanding, explains Laila Kakar, Senior Manager at MTN (GSSC).
We’ll hear Laila Kakar at the Data 2030 Summit in her session on How to measure the unmeasurable – translating SMART data into insights, where she’ll tell you more about how to start making fact-based decisions and how machine learning can support you in your decisions.
