Romain Rouquier – Vice President of Data | South China Morning Post | Hong Kong

Romain Rouquier is the Vice President of Data at the South China Morning Post, where he joined in January 2019. He brings more than a decade of experience in the data and technology sector to lead SCMP’s global data and analytics strategy, focusing on building business solutions and elevating data literacy across the company. Before joining the Post, he co-headed the Hong Kong branch of Maltem Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specialising in digital transformation where he created and developed its data practice. Prior to that, Romain founded an adtech company in Hong Kong focusing on offline to online marketing, honing his leadership and entrepreneurial acumen. He has a dual Masters in Computer Science and Financial Engineering, and spent his first career decade as a business and data analyst at leading financial institutions and technology companies
